How to Vote in Each State

With many students living in other states than where their universities are located, the job of getting the student vote out is even more complicated. This resource from the U.S. Election Assistance Commission might be helpful for communicating with students about how to vote. It provides information on vote by mail rules for each state including the deadline and where to request absentee ballots, the last day for in-person early voting, and the deadline for posting mail-in ballots.

National Voter Education Week is October 4-8, 2021

National Voter Education Week (NVEW) will help voters bridge the gap between registering to vote and actually casting a ballot. During this week of interactive education, voters will learn to find their polling location, understand their ballot, make a plan to vote in person or remotely, and more. NVEW will help voters overcome common barriers to become a confident voter and ambassadors of voting in their own communities this November and beyond.
