Vivian Baylor Joins CCMA as AmeriCorps Program Manager
CCMA welcomes Vivian Baylor to our team! Vivian joins CCMA as our AmeriCorps VISTA Program Manager. She will be responsible for all aspects of managing CCMA’s cohort of VISTA members who are engaged in fighting poverty and improving racial justice and equity throughout Maryland, Delaware, and DC.
Most recently, Vivian was a Program Manager at the Eastern Panhandle Empowerment Center, Inc. in Martinsburg, WV where she worked to protect victims, prevent violence and empower survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and human trafficking. She is also an active member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and served as the Martinsburg-Berkeley County Secretary for three years and the state Treasurer for two years.
Vivian enjoys any opportunity to uplift others and help them reach their full potential. She is a fierce advocate for underrepresented populations. Vivian graduated from West Virginia University in 2015 with a BA in psychology and a minor in sociology. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in nonprofit leadership and management from Arizona State University and will graduate in May of 2022. Apart from working hard and focusing on her studies, Vivian is a huge dog lover and enjoys spending time outside, listening to music, reading, spending time with family and friends, and learning new skills.
