President-Elect of MSCHE Addresses SAGE Meeting

President-Elect DrHeather Perfetti served as the guest speaker at the Campus Compact Mid-Atlantic Senior Advisory Group for Engagement (SAGE) meeting held at Bowie State University on Oct. 21, 2019. Dr. Perfetti’s remarks focused on the presidential transition and the future of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), the Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation through the lens of the vision, mission, and core values of Campus Compact Mid-Atlantic, MSCHE resources available to colleges and universities, and opportunities through the renewed accreditation processes and institutional strategic priorities that promote global citizenship, leadership, service, and civic engagement. Dr. James Fielder, Secretary of Higher Education, Maryland Higher Education Commission, and Dr. Colleen Perry Keith, President of Goldey-Beacom College and Presidents’ Council Member of Campus Compact Mid-Atlantic, shared insightful comments in response to Dr. Perfetti’s presentation, and discussion with the audience then followed.
