Dr. Christine Moran Wins IMPACT Award
Dr. Christine Moran, Assistant Vice President for Student Success at Stevenson University, was selected as the John Sarvey Administrator of the Year by the IMPACT Conference for her work with Service-Learning, Civic Engagement, and Student Success. This award honors the life and work of one of the National IMPACT Conference’s early founders, John Sarvey. The award recipient exemplifies a commitment to the mission and values of the IMPACT Conference through significant, continued, and unselfish service and leadership. Dr. Moran has been an active member in the Campus Compact Mid-Atlantic network for years, sharing her extensive knowledge, experience, and passion for service-learning.
Dr. Moran received several nominations, one of which came from the Campus Compact Newman Civic Fellow at Stevenson University who she mentored. This Fellow highlighted Dr. Moran’s empathy and enthusiasm for both academics and community service: “To Dr. Moran, service-learning is not just another mundane task in a job description; service-learning is part of her personal goal of bettering the lives of students. Dr. Moran recognizes that for students to experience genuine growth and connection, they need to practice relationship building through social action.”
