CCMA Receives Standards for Excellence Award
Campus Compact Mid-Atlantic was recognized for its re-accreditation with Standards for Excellence at an award ceremony in October 2019 at the Maryland Nonprofits Annual Conference. The Standards for Excellence Institute is a national initiative established to promote the highest standards of ethics, effectiveness, and accountability in nonprofit governance, management, and operations, and to help all nonprofit organizations meet these high benchmarks.
Attaining the Standards for Excellence accreditation is a rigorous, peer-review process through which all aspects of an organization’s programs, impact, financials, and governance are thoroughly examined for administrative and procedural excellence. This is a gold standard for nonprofits, and only 217 nonprofits in the nation have received this accreditation.
CCMA has been participating in this standards program since 2014, which aims to continue to build public trust, identify growth opportunities, raise money, and become more sustainable.
